Office colleagues form temporary construction team

“To understand each other’s job, you should experience it for yourself.”  With that in mind, an extraordinary construction team started building a Sparkle glamping tent  at ‘De Glamping‘ in Zeewolde, the Netherlands. This time, the construction team consisted not only of experienced builders but also included colleagues from our head office in Emmeloord. The marketing and sales departments, as well as our CEO, joined hands and set to work under the direction of two experienced builders, Arlo and Marcel.

Building the floor

After unloading the materials, it was time to build the floor. Account manager Hans and Hedwig from Marketing drove the wooden poles into the ground with heavy equipment. Thanks to these poles, the tent will stand super sturdy. Next, the floorboards were expertly nailed in place.

Interior

Meanwhile, our CEO Ivo, and Matthijs from Sales Support, were busy assembling the furniture from our RAW line. Most furniture from the RAW interior line is made entirely of wood and is assembled on-site. At YALA, we ensure that our products are shipped as compactly as possible. We deliver worldwide, keeping delivery costs and environmental impact as low as possible.

Solid and robust

The frame of our safari tents and glamping lodges is mounted on the wooden platform. This ensures the tent is solid and robust and can withstand all types of weather conditions, which is of great importance as our tents are left up all year round. The tents require little maintenance and have a life span of 8 to 12 years.

Turning a frame into a tent

Time flies when you’re having fun. The ‘out of the ordinary construction team’ got used to each other and worked hard. They pitched the tent frame, and everything began to take shape. The PVC roof was placed and tensioned with the ratchets. A construction resembling a safari tent was already in place on the lawn. The inner canvas tent was fitted and secured. Suddenly, the tent was finished! All that remained was tidying up, cleaning, and moving the furniture inside.

All’s well that ends well

The team has learned a great deal and now looks at the construction process differently. It was hard work, but they also had a lot of fun. The tent looks beautiful, and more importantly, the owner of ‘De Glamping’ is very pleased with his newest addition. Time to head back home!
